With the sporadic warm weather days we've been getting as of late, we know that summer is just right around the corner here in Chicago. Our city is a wonderful place to be outdoors, enjoying life in the sunshine and fresh air.
This coming weekend (April 10-11) the National Association of Realtors is setting aside two days for Chicago's first mass open house. Washington had an Open House Weekend last year and now its Chicago's turn to give prospective homebuyer's a chance to see what might be right for them. This is shopping made easy! Come on out to any of our Lexington communities this weekend to check out what you could call your own.
Time is running out! If you are planning to purchase a new home, now is most certainly the time to do it as there is just under a month left to take advantage of the federal homebuyer tax credit. The tax credit now applies to sales occurring on or before April 30, 2010. This means that $8,000 is applied to a purchase for first-time home buyers and $6,500 will be applied for repeat buyers. Homes in all three of our communities will be eligible for the government tax credit.
