Bridgeport is a town with a storied history and promising future. In its founding days back in the early to mid-1800's, Bridgeport was a mostly European based community. Today, the town enjoys a diverse range of races and backgrounds coexisting in a harmony not known a century ago. The same can be said for the variety of happenings in the Bridgeport area. There are artist hubs and industrial works existing side by side. The diverse range of people and activities happening in and around Bridgeport have shaped it to become a respected part of Chicago with many signs of new growth.
Bridgeport is a blossoming community with continuous expansion in the realms of residential, educational, creative and business growth. Upon moving to Bridgeport one will find many perks and amenities living in the locality. The area is home to many public schools including the Mark Sheridan Academy, Philip D. Armour School, Robert Healy School, Charles N. Holden School, and George B. McClellan School. Another great local resource for residents is the Richard J. Daley Branch of the Chicago Public Library, which offers events, programs, books and other learning materials. Public transportation in Bridgeport is very accessible through the CTA and makes commuting around Chicago easier for all. Our town is served by Bridgeport News, a neighborhood weekly that is printed up and delivered to homes in the area once a week. There is also plenty of classic architecture as demonstrated by many of the neighborhood's antique churches from the 1800's. We are also the proud home to U.S. Cellular Field, home of the 2005 World Series Champions, the Chicago White Sox. When you arrive to Lexington Square, you'll find our community is located in an area with a rich heritage and fresh beginnings.
With all this and a budding art and nightlife scene, Lexington Square is a great spot for individuals and families looking to keep their urban way of life in a burgeoning community that still has that old-time appeal. At Lexington Square you’ll find richly appointed single-family rowhomes. that offer design luxuries including a shower and tub in the master bath, rooftop decks with inspiring city views, European-styled exterior color palettes, new trees, gardens and more!
