Des Plaines, home to our Lexington Park community, is a fantastic spot to call home. The city offers a diverse amount of things to do in a suburban area that's also relatively close to Chicago. The Des Plaines Public Library offers more than 265,000 books, along with thousands of DVDs, CDs, magazines and more. The Mountain View Adventure Center truly has something for everyone! Enjoy a challenging 18-hole mini golf course, step up to the plate in the batting cages, break into a 360 flip at the Skate Park or bunnyhop yourself over to the BMX bike park. Plenty of room, beautiful surroundings and a full snack bar all combine to ensure you have a wonderful time at this comprehensive outdoor recreational facility.  510 E. Des Plaines is home to Mystic Waters Family Aquatic Center, one of the largest and most beautiful waterparks in Northern Illinois.  Complete with main swimming pool, diving area, two 37-foot slides, lazy river, Beluga Beach kids portion, plenty of tanning benches and a stocked refreshment stand, Mystic Waters is the comprehensive fun/relaxation station for when the weather warms up! 2025 Miner Street. One of Des Plaines' greatest highlights is their recently rennovated Prairie Lakes Community & Fitness Center. The community center has several different sized rooms available for rental for meetings or parties.  It also boasts the Prairie Lakes Theater, a 298 seat room, that is host to various musical, theatrical and other special events throughout the year.  One of the main attractions however is the state of the art fitness center.  Having a wide variety of strength training equipment, weights, sauna and other amenities make Prairie Lakes the number one spot for residents to stay in shape!  515 E. Lake Opeka is a treasured area in Des Plaines for recreation and relaxation.  This gorgeous 60 acre park is home to an 18 hole three par golf course, boating, fishing, playground, jogging path, picnic grounds, memorial pavilion, live music and more!  A fantastic spot for time with family, friends or just a peaceful nature walk alone.  There's something here for everyone!  Located on Lee Street, from Howard to Touhy Ave.
