The Wheeling Park District Fitness Center is the perfect hometown location to stay in shape at! Thanks for the info on Wheeling. a flight school really didn't cross my mind, but sounds like a cool thing to do. Personally, I enjoy biking the Des Plaines River Trail which runs along the Des Plaines River and can be picked-up easily at the Northeast corner of Dundee and Milwaukee Avenue Forest Preserve entrance. You can take it pretty far south - into the city and can connect as far north as possibly Wisconsin.
