The Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago, home to our Lexington Square community, is an urban area complete with a wide range of cool things to do. Filled with a rich history, Bridgeport is now revitalizing itself as a more trendy spot with new and modernized restaurants and shops. U.S. Cellular Field is home to the 2005 MLB World Series Champions: The Chicago White Sox.  A fantastic spot to catch a ball game with family or friends in a stadium nested right in the Bridgeport neighborhood.  Get a bag of peanuts and a hot dog, catch a great ball team in action and hope for a Sox home run so you can see the scoreboard light up with its traditional home team fireworks!  333 W. 35th St.

About ten minutes away from our community is the best recreation and fitness center this side of town: the South Side YMCA.  Catering to individuals of all ages, the YMCA offers up a diverse variety of programs and special events.  The Y extends some of the best and most reasonably priced fitness classes, swimming pool, gym and after-school programs. The South Shore Cultural Center offers a variety of arts and recreational programs from cooking to painting to ceramics and yoga.  With many options available, the Cultural Center is a great place to learn new things and engage in fun activities and hobbies with other like minded people.  Housed on a beautiful 58 acre site, this facility also includes 9-hole golf course, ballroom, meeting rooms, horse stables and tennis courts!  7059 S. The Richard J. Daley Branch of the Chicago Public Library is nested right in our area.  Stocked with all the learning, research and entertainment materials one can imagine including books, movies, music, multimedia and more, this library offers up a nice stock of resources for the avid reader and learner.  A great place to explore the depths of knowledge and find personal growth through books and art.  3400 S.
