Lexington Square Awarded Multiple Key Awards for Architectural and Interior Design
Chicago-based Lexington Homes’ (www.lexingtonchicago.com) Lexington Square community in Bridgeport recently earned four Key Awards from the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) for outstanding architecture and interior design. Award-winning features are highlighted in a rowhome currently available for early delivery.
Located at 3704 S. Sangamon St., the community of 39 single-family rowhomes is eight blocks west of U.S. Cellular Field. Lexington Square offers two floor plans ranging from 2,216 to 2,507 square feet. Base-priced from the mid to upper $300,000s, the three-story homes come standard with three bedrooms, 2½ baths, rooftop decks (most with complete views of the Chicago skyline) and attached two-car garages. Additional bedrooms and baths are available.
Both the Grant and Buckingham floor plans at Lexington Square earned Gold Key Awards for interior design, as well as Silver Key Awards for architectural design.
“It’s such an honor to have our Lexington Square home designs singled out for these awards,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes. “To us, it confirms we are offering the top-notch contemporary floor plans and interior finishes homebuyers are looking for today. In addition, this community offers a great residential location in one of Chicago’s historic neighborhoods so close to downtown.”
Also to credit for the Awards, says Benach, is the exterior architecture of the community. “Lexington Square has a retro Chicago look and feel,” he said. “The homes look like single-family homes, and we varied the front elevation design of each home. We wanted the homes to meld into the existing architecture.”
Benach added that with the extended Homebuyer Tax Credit, which is $8,000 for first-time buyers and $6,500 for repeat buyers, these very affordable homes are even more affordable. “We have one home available for move-in now, as well as a number of others that will be ready by the first quarter of 2010. Homebuyers need to buy by April 30 and close by June 30 to get the tax credit, so we have plenty of options.”
All homes at Lexington Square include brushed nickel lighting fixtures and oversized private balconies; 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops and GE stainless steel appliances in the kitchen; hardwood flooring throughout the main level; and raised-height vanities with granite or marble countertops in all baths. Buyers also can select from a variety of options and upgrades, including fireplaces, wet bars, alternate bedroom configurations and additional powder rooms. In addition, a selection of finely-appointed specially-priced homes is available for immediate move-in.
Two model homes are available for touring. To visit Lexington Square, exit I-90/94 at 35th Street and head west for eight blocks. Turn left at Halsted Street and continue for three blocks to 37th Street. Turn right at 37th Street and the sales center will be located just ahead at 37th and Sangamon streets. Sales center hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Lexington Square, call (773) 523-5900 or visit www.lexingtonchicago.com.
