Three new models have opened at Lexington Park, a community of 120 townhomes in northwest-suburban Des Plaines. Developed by Chicago-based Lexington Homes (www.lexingtonchicago.com), Lexington Park is the Chicago area’s best selling new-home community, according to the developer.
Located within walking distance of downtown Des Plaines and the Des Plaines Metra Station, at Western and Harding Avenues, Lexington Park offers three floor plans ranging from 1,605 to 1,913 square feet. Base-priced from $249,990 to $272,990, the three-story homes come standard with two to three bedrooms, 2½ baths and attached two-car garages. Options allow for additional bedrooms and powder rooms.
“With nearly half of our homes already sold, we’re seeing that our townhome designs and our low pricing is really resonating with young professionals and new families just starting out,” said Jeff Benach, co-principal of Lexington Homes.
In addition, Benach notes that buyers are eligible for the extended Homebuyer Tax Credit, which is $8,000 for first-time buyers and $6,500 for repeat buyers. “Our homes are scheduled for delivery in April, May and June so buyers can take advantage of the tax credit, which stipulates a home must be purchased by April 30 and closed on by June 30. And, right now, Lexington Homes is also giving buyers $8,000 in free options.”
