You’ll Love Being Part of the Morton Grove Community

At Lexington, we know that homebuyers value rave-worthy homes in excellent locations. That’s why we build in areas where community life offers convenience, dining, shopping, and entertainment options all nearby! Metro on Main in Morton Grove is no exception. Morton Grove is a popular close-in north suburb with easy access to the city and tons to do right outside your door.

We loved taking a look at all the outdoor activities available in Morton Grove. Today, we are celebrating everything that gives Morton Grove an incredible sense of community! With an active park district and community events, you will have lots of chances to meet your neighbors and build a life as a part of this incredible town.

Here are just a few highlights:

History and Museums. The Morton Grove Historical Museum does an amazing job at documenting the history of this town through the years. Visit their Haupt-Yehl Historical Museum to learn about life from 1888 through 1918, learn about the treasured “Doughboy” statue, and find out more about life in this area through the lens of important historical events at their many fascinating exhibits and events.

Morton Grove Days. The best festival of summer—around the 4th of July—brings together the whole community at Morton Grove Days. Enjoy a parade, carnival rides, music, food, and a beer garden. And then celebrate the 4th with an incredible fireworks show!

Park District. The thriving park district hosts programming for all ages—for example, over the summer, enjoy movies in the park, a summer concert series, pickleball tournaments, and more! One hub of park district activity is the Prairie View Community Center, with a fitness center, gym, and dance studio.
