Des Plaines Adventures Continue at the Sugar Bowl and Rivers Casino

Vicky and Mary from Lexington Park moved on to the next stop on their string of local business adventures!  They experienced the famous Sugar Bowl restaurant in downtown Des Plaines and the new Rivers Casino.

First up: the Sugar Bowl!  This restaurant has actually been around since 1921 but it was not until 1958 that it truly emerged and took on an energetic and modern look.  Owners Stacy and George, who bought and revamped the place in 2009, were kind enough to have breakfast with Vicky and Mary.  They have owned the restaurant for the past 3 years and were so friendly and accommodating!

Not only is the menu wonderful (the mixed berry blintzes were their favorite), but you feel right at home.  Good thing because the Sugar Bowl is a staple in Des Plaines and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

After a delicious meal, the ladies spent an evening at the new Rivers Casino.  This Casino has over 1,050 of the newest and hottest slots and 48 exciting table games!  You may start your winning now at the 147,000 square foot facility.

Vicky and Mary, along with the Lexington Crew, had dinner at Hugo Frogs.  There are six delicious restaurants for your dining pleasure, as well as two lounges with live entertainment.  You may lose money, but will gain much, much more!

Be sure to visit these great staples, old and new, of Des Plaines.  They are both accessible from Lexington Park and are a great source of delicious and fun entertainment.  Maybe we’ll see you at the slots after a stack of fluffy pancakes.
