2023 is a big year for Lexington Homes—it marks our 50th year building beautiful homes for Chicago area families! This has added up to more than 42,000 homes.
Lexington through the decades:
1970s: Lexington Homes was founded in 1973 by Ron Benach with Lexington Green in Schaumburg. Lexington built a large portion of the residential there, including a new townhouse product called the “coach home.” We expanded to other NW Suburban locations.
1980s: Lexington becomes the largest and most prolific builder in the suburbs, building over 1000 homes. We also expanded into the rental market.
1990s: We branch beyond the NW Suburbs with Concord Homes, developing Meadowbrook, a master planned community in Lake in the Hills and a city division with locations in River North, the West Loop, and Hyde Park.
2000s: Lexington is reinvented as a product and lifestyle developer, building intimate, smaller scale communities.
2010s: We are the only large-scale, locally based, privately owned homebuilder to weather the Great Recession in Chicagoland. We continue to build homes in the city and suburbs.
2020s: With 50 years of experience and more than 42,000 homes complete, no other local Chicago area homebuilder, past or present, has earned the reputation, or built the legacy, long term trust or respect like Lexington Homes.
